Gemma Shepherd Voiceover Artist - So a bit more about me...

I've been a Voiceover Artist for many years, working from my pro home studio performing voice work for the worlds biggest brands.

Formerly, I worked as an Executive Producer at many of the UK's top radio stations, including Capital FM & Heart Radio before taking my turn in front of the mic as a Breakfast Show Presenter on Heart Radio, which led to voiceover work. I loved presenting and it was awesome having my own breakfast Show - I also fell in love with voice work & acting, loved being on the mic and that was it, a dream come true!

 

But way back when I started out as a Radio Producer, I would select Voiceover Artists for commercial adverts. Production skills help enormously with Voiceover and I use those skills for my work as a Voiceover Coach, coaching aspiring voiceover artists. 
 

After several years of tumbling out of bed at 4am for breakfast radio, I needed some sleep!

So I decided to work as a full-time Voiceover Artist which gives me space to explore my passion for acting which compliments voiceover work greatly.

I encourage ALL aspiring voiceover artists to cultivate some acting skills and above all practice, practice, practice! 

It helps in developing confidence on the mic so you can enjoy the work and believe me, this work is FUN and you can make great money.

I work from my home studio in London and love the creativity - no two scripts are the same and I aim to always give it that extra something to help the words come alive. I've taken acting classes at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London Actors Workshop and worked with top acting coaches.

I also belong to an improvisation group which keeps me on top of my game.
